Full leg amputation

A registered nurse became concerned about her father, who was suffering from diabetes and not being cared for properly.

He had developed a diabetic blister on his toe and it was not healing.

After repeated attempts to notify nursing home staff of the danger without success, this blister resulted in a full leg amputation due to the negligence of the nursing home.

After being represented by another law firm for several months that failed to take any action and in the end told the family nothing could be done, she contacted the Law Firm of Donald W. Edwards, P.A.

Due to the time spent investigating this case and the diligence afforded by the Law Firm of Donald W. Edwards, P.A., the family was awarded a six-figure confidential settlement in damages from the nursing home.

Given Wrong Prescription

Retired crew member of the United States Navy’s Blue Angels, in excellent health for his age, was given the wrong prescription drugs and the toxic mix poisoned him at a senior living facility/rehabilitation center where he resided in Northwest Florida.

This elderly gentleman ended up in the intensive care unit of a local hospital where his heart stopped and then he was revived, but within days of the poisoning, his vital organs shut down and unfortunately, he passed away.

This case is currently in litigation, awaiting resolution for his family.
